Visas

The visa office of the Embassy of Italy in Prague deals with the issuance of Visas allowing non-EU citizens resident in the Czech Republic to enter Italy. Applicants are required to hold a valid residence permit in the Czech Republic before requesting the visa via our Embassy.

All visa applicants, residing in the Czech Republic, must apply in person. It is necessary to ask for an appointment through our website booking system – https://prenotami.esteri.it

Before fixing the appointment, it is possible to consult the web page of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation via the following link: https://vistoperitalia.esteri.it/home/en. There is a guided procedure that, based on nationality, country of residence, the purpose of the visit, and the length of the stay, indicates to the user whether or not it is necessary to apply for an entry visa for Italy. If the visa is required, all the information and forms necessary for the request will be provided.

The information on the aforementioned site is only indicative. Consequently, before fixing the appointment, please contact the Visa Office of the Embassy exclusively by email: consolare.praga@ester.it in order to verify the correctness of the procedure and documentation.

On the day of the appointment, visa applicants must bring all the required documentation for the visa, and present it along with a valid residence permit in the Czech Republic, a recent passport-sized photograph, and a valid passport (the passport must be valid at least for three months after the expiring date of the requested visa; it must have at least two blank pages; it must be issued during the previous 10 years with some exceptions).

All the documents required for the visa must be produced in original and photocopy.

Minors applying for a visa must be accompanied by both parents.

Visa Office is open to the public on Wednesday from 11.00 to 12.00 am.
