  1. Written translation, without the use of a dictionary, of an official text from Italian into Czech.

Candidates will have one hour for this test.

  1. An interview consisting of:
    1. A conversation in Italian, intended to verify an excellent knowledge of the language, the professional aptitudes of the candidates, and their degree of local integration. During this interview, the candidates’ knowledge regarding the activities carried out by diplomaticconsular Offices abroad will also be assessed;
    2. A conversation in Czech to evaluate their in-depth knowledge of the language, during which candidates must perform an extemporaneous oral translation, without the use of a dictionary, of a short official text from Czech into Italian.
  2. A practical test on the use of a personal computer for office tasks.
  3. An eminently practical test on secretarial duties, archive maintenance, and accounting assistance.
  4. An eminently practical test on consular assistance.

5.  MINIMUM PASSING SCORE FOR ELIGIBILITY

To achieve eligibility, candidates must obtain an average score of at least 70/100, with scores no lower than 60/100 in each individual test.

6.  EVALUATION OF QUALIFICATIONS

For the formation of the final ranking of eligible candidates, points for the possession of higher educational qualifications and prior work experience will be added to the average score achieved by each eligible candidate (provided they are proven by documentation attached to the application, as per section 2), within the following limits:

  • a) For each educational qualification higher than the grade required for participation: 1/100 point, up to a maximum of 2/100 points.
  • b) For each year of service rendered without demerit with duties at least equivalent to those advertised (or immediately below for employees already in service): 1/100 point, up to a maximum of 3/100 points.

7.  DOCUMENTATION

The successful candidate must provide the following certifications:

  • a) birth certificate;
  • b) certificate(s) of citizenship held;
  • c) certificate proving residence in the Czech Republic during the two years preceding the application deadline;
  • d) criminal record certificate issued by local Authorities;
  • e) certified true copies of educational qualifications (foreign qualifications must be accompanied by an official translation and a declaration of value issued by the competent Italian consular authority);
  • f) (for candidates holding a citizenship other than that of the host country) a copy of their residence permit.

With reference to point f), it is emphasized that recruitment cannot proceed without this documentation.

Regarding the residency requirement, the certificate to be submitted is normally the residence certificate issued by the competent local authorities. In countries lacking a designated authority or where local documents are presumed unreliable, as provided for by Art. 6, paragraph 2 of M.D. no. 032/655 of 2001, the successful candidate may request this Office to issue a substitute certification declaring compliance with the requirement, pursuant to Art. 52 of Legislative Decree no. 71 of February 3, 2011.

Italian citizens regularly registered with the Registry of Italians Residing Abroad (AIRE) may submit a statutory declaration (dichiarazione sostitutiva) certifying their AIRE registration.

Certifications issued by foreign administrations must be legalized. Certifications drafted in a foreign language must be accompanied by a translation conforming to the original.

The documentation under points a), b), and c) must be submitted within 15 days from the date of request by the Office. The remaining documentation must be submitted prior to signing the contract.

It is specified that Italian and European Union citizens, instead of the certifications under points a), b), c), d), and e), must submit the appropriate statutory declarations (dichiarazione sostitutiva di certificazione) pursuant to Article 46 of Presidential Decree no. 445 of December 28, 2000, limited to cases where the states, personal qualities, and facts are contained in public registers of Italy or the European Union, and provided that our diplomatic Missions are given access to perform verifications.

Should subsequent checks reveal that the content of the statutory declarations is untruthful, the individual will face criminal sanctions pursuant to Article 76 of Presidential Decree no. 445/2000, resulting in immediate termination of employment and forfeiture of any other benefit achieved based on the untruthful declaration.

Based on the elements gathered from applications submitted in a timely manner, a list of candidates admitted to the tests will be drawn up. Admitted candidates will be summoned via written communication sent at least 10 days before the scheduled date of the tests. An official Selection Committee will be established to carry out the duties under this notice.

The selected candidate may not under any circumstances begin service until the Central Budget Office has endorsed (visto) the ministerial decree approving the employment contract.
